Shaped olive wood with sterling silver bezel-set fire opal in the matrix with handcut oval details on the reverse side that allow a peek at the underside of the stone.
Each earrings measures 1 3/4” long x 1” wide x 1/2” deep.
Olive wood is native to the Mediterranean regions but is also cultivated in other parts of the world with suitable climates. This was sourced from a local supplier specializing in responsible & sustainable wood sourcing.

Grounded in nature, and interwoven with new techniques and intentions.
Techniques include piercing (of course), hammering, keum-boo, and stone setting. Many pieces incorporate reclaimed sterling silver, which has been melted down into ‘coins’ and ‘arches’, as well as scrap wood and offcuts from other piercing projects.
