Duck silhouette is hand cut with a jewelers saw before the hollow form portion of the pendant is fabricated. The interior of the shadowbox is finished with keum-boo, a 23.5k gold foil applied through heat and pressure. Faceted lacewood is bezel set in sterling silver with hand cut details on the reverse side. Hand fabricated stainless steel + sterling silver pin mechanisms.
The brooch measures approximately 2 3/4” H x 1” W x 1/4” D

As the days get shorter and the light filtering in gives everything a softer edge, the fog hangs over the mountains later and later in the day.
This collection reflects the peaceful rhythms of the world going on outside my window and beyond.
Grounded in nature, and interwoven with new techniques and intentions.
Techniques include piercing (of course), hammering, keum-boo, and stone setting. Many pieces incorporate reclaimed sterling silver, which has been melted down into ‘coins’ and ‘arches’, as well as scrap wood and offcuts from other piercing projects.
Each piece in this new collection is one of a kind.
