HURRICANE HELENE SURVIVOR COLLECTION

COMING SEPTEMBER 22, 2025

On September 26 & 27, 2024, Hurricane Helene brought heavy rains to Western North Carolina, flooding much of the region.

These pieces were submerged under 15 feet of water in either Foundation Woodworks or Atomic Furnishings in Asheville for well over 48 hours. Once waters had receded and the respective owners were able to re-enter the buildings, these were miraculously found amongst mud and other debris. They are small symbols of survival and persistence amidst a sea of destruction.

They bear the marks of their journey in the form of its new patina, caused by prolonged submersion in the floodwaters. Some might view these new imperfections as flaws, but they are intentionally preserved to tell the story of resilience

All pieces were thoroughly cleaned and resealed, and reconstructed as necessary.

May they be a reminder of the hope and strength of our region and its people.

All Hurricane Helene Survivor Collection pieces are ready to ship.

HELENE SURVIVORS ARE FINAL SALE

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these pieces will be split between Atomic Furnishing & Foundation Woodworks
