Swallowtail Butterfly + Keum-boo Shadowbox Necklace
Swallowtail butterfly silhouette is hand cut with a jewelers saw before the hollow form portion of the pendant is fabricated. The interior of the shadowbox is finished with keum-boo, a 23.5k gold foil applied through heat and pressure.
The pendant measures approximately 1 3/8" in diameter by 1/4” deep. The chain is approximately 18” long.

This collection reflects the peaceful rhythms of the world going on outside my window and beyond.
Grounded in nature, and interwoven with new techniques and intentions.
Techniques include piercing (of course), hammering, keum-boo, and stone setting. Many pieces incorporate reclaimed sterling silver, which has been melted down into ‘coins’ and ‘arches’, as well as scrap wood and offcuts from other piercing projects.
Each piece in this new collection is one of a kind.
